A few weeks ago I decided to embark on a DIY project. It was actually quite simple---glue glitter onto boots--but, the outcome was amazing! I'm obsessed with my new gold glitter booties! They are so comfortable and can be worn so many different ways! Here's a peek at my boot debut!
I feel like I should be doing something special today--since it's a leap year and all! Let's see what I can round up.... Any of you doing anything fun for February 29th?

I'm always on the prowl for the perfect pair of flats from the plain vanilla to more fun styles with glitter or prints! Sometimes a heel isn't always practical so you should have some fun flats in your armory to add a little sparkle to your outfits!
Even if you go with the plain jane, black or brown, there are millions of little additions that can take them from dull to chic. Like the skull and crossbones on the Jon Joseph flat or the studded details on the Steve Madden flat.
Last, but not least, patterns and stripes are a great way to up your outfit "ante"! You can wear muted colors or wear pattern on pattern---either is sure to look amazing!
I hope you had a great weekend! I got to spend some time with an old friend and finally saw The Vow!
Channing Tatum is such a cutie and who doesn't love Rachel McAdams?! It's always fun to catch up with old friends!
I am constantly adding to my "lists of..." in my notes app on my Iphone. From killer shoes I just saw on a blog, or a new musical artist I just discovered, to books I want to add to my reading list.
So I thought I'd do a Friday wrap-up of some current obsessions of mine! To "share the wealth" so to speak.
I am currently obsessed with this AMAZING bracelet from House of Harlow. I saw it and immediately thought I had to add it to my jewelry collection. It's a tad on the pricey side but I'll save my pennies until I can snag one! I just love the arrow cut out detail--it matches my blog name perfectly--don't you think?!
Next on my list is the George & Brother Skinny Railroad Spike Cuff. It's such a simple piece, but it's beautiful in its simplicity. It would make a great addition to an arm party. A railroad spike is totally unexpected!
Another item on my list is an Elizabeth Cole Necklace. It's actually a Gemini Zodiac necklace, but for my purposes it would be an initial necklace. It's hard to find initial necklaces that don't look like you stepped back into the 3rd grade. I love the layered circles behind the G's. The piece would be great as one of many in a layered look!
Next on my list are a pair of GORGEOUS Thierry Lasry Lively sunnies. They are to die for! I'm obsessed! A girl can never have too many pairs of sunglasses. I need to add these to my Spring Sunnies rotation. Do you have any sunnies you're gushing over?!
Onto the books! I have a list about a mile long that keeps getting longer! Call me a nerd--but I absolutely adore books! Stepping into a fantasy world that is half based in your own creativity is amazing! I just finished reading the Hunger Games Trilogy. It is a MUST-READ. The storyline really got to me, it sucks you in and is action packed from the very beginning. What more can you ask for? Not to mention the movie is being released in exactly a month. So excited! I would definitely check out the series if you haven't yet! I've made all my friends-guys and girls-buy the books! Is there a book or series you love? I'd love to add more books to my list!
Last but not least I am currently obsessed with the talented Mr. Josh Harrison. He's a pop artist from Nashville. I stumbled upon him while checking out "It Will Rain" by Bruno Mars covers. He is super talented! Give him a listen!
Right now pastels are all the rage. You can find them all over the Fashion Week runways, your favorite magazines, and on your favorite celebs! When it comes to incorporating this new style you can start from something as small as an accessory--like a clutch--or all the way to matching a top and some jeans. Spring is in the air here in Texas; but, I'm sure there will still be plenty of cold days here as well as all over. So bring in the spring with some pastels!
I scoured the web for pastels and found some amazing fashion deals under $40! Some of my favorite finds include the pastel skinny jeans from F21, the adorable pink and blue tie-back shirt from Lulus, as well as the amazing aqua bow clutch from Dorothy Perkins (you can snatch this up with a 15% discount if you sign up for their newsletter!).
Today was such a beautiful day here in Texas! After a rainy weekend the sun was out and shining. The weather was perfect. Great splurge for Fat Tuesday! Lol
My outfit is super simple but that’s exactly what I love about it. You can look very put together with just a few items you most likely have in your closet. You can switch out the shirt underneath or add a bunch of fun jewelry and it’s a totally different look!
I have always been obsessed with hair accessories. From those quirky butterfly clips (remember those?!) to headbands. My current obsession is Crystal Headbands. They are so chic! From dressing up to dressing down---there is no way you can go wrong. Just slip one of those into your hair and you have made your look that much more glam. A big plus is that they are so versatile. You can wear your hair in a bun, braid, untamed, you name it---they make your hair look fabulous.
Check out Taylor, Nicole, and Dianna’s versions of the headband. Pair them with a cute dress like Dianna Agron or spice up your tee with a cute headpiece like Nicole Richie.
Here are a few super cute headbands I found! I’m going to have to add one of these babies to my hair accessory collection asap. I’ve got my eye on the circle headwrap as well as the turquoise one from Nordstrom that could add that splash of color that’s so great for spring!
My name is Giovanna. I am a twenty-something--but look like i just stepped into high school--psychology graduate. I hail from Barranquilla, Colombia, but have lived in Texas pretty much my whole life.
I dream of Paris in the spring and New York City in the fall. My passions include fashion, music, and literature (one of my guilty pleasures is reading teen novels! lol).
I am a hopeless romantic, constant over-analyzer, obsessor, lover of laughter, and a dreamer.
I hope to inspire and be inspired through this blog. Construct lasting relationships. And just be me---while hopefully making some good friends on the way!
